Here’s a way to get rid of them.

Mix 1 teaspoon of Boric Acid with 2 ½ ounces Corn Syrup or Honey

Heat till dissolved then add an equal amount of water.

Use a dropper or spoon to apply a small amount to locations the ants are.

This is pretty sticky and can harden within a few days, so be sure to clean it up after you know the ants have had their fill. Really hot water should do the trick.
