Film Festival In Esterillos Oeste: Ideas, Ideals and Change

Hello Everybody,
I wanted to let you know about this exciting Film Festival that will be taking place at El Vago in Esterillos Oeste every Wednesday night starting this Wednesday, January 5th (through until February 23rd).
The Film Festival is presented by the Forerunner Project (check out their website at www.theforerunnerproject.com) and is sponsored by Twilight DVD Rentals and El Vago.
The documentary films center around the theme of IDEAS, IDEALS AND CHANGE.

Quería hacerle saber acerca de este apasionante Festival de Cine que se llevará a cabo en El Vago en Esterillos Oeste, todos los miércoles a partir de este Miércoles, 05 de enero (hasta el 23 de febrero a través).
El Festival de Cine se presenta por el Proyecto Precursor (echa un vistazo a su página web en www.theforerunnerproject.com) y es patrocinado por Twilight Video y El Vago.
Los documentales se centran en el tema de ideas, ideales y el cambio.

Mardi Gras 2010

Mardi Gras went off this past Saturday and turned out to be a huge success.

The Krewe Sirena volunteers went the extra distance this year to make sure all the details were covered. This year’s event had Juggling, motorcycles, horses, a marching band, floats, mermaids, and costumes. That was just the parade! Read the rest of this entry

The festivities kicked off at 6 with some local musicians playing in an “open mike” format until about 8 o’clock. Thanks a lot Steve, Peter, Cailin, and everyone else who played. DJ Lee threw down the tunes all night, thanks for all the requests. What a fun dance party! I got reacquainted with Jaeger Bombs (been a while). Thanks to everyone who came out to party. It was great to meet some new people, and see some folks we haven’t seen in a while.
