Last year a recycling program was started, but did not last. I don’t know why, but the program was discontinued before my scheduled day of volunteer work. We need to take it upon ourselves to start the recycling program again. I am sure most of the locals will volunteer to work a Thursday morning every couple months. The program last year was located in the AYA building next to the school. If anyone has any contacts or knows who to talk to at the municipality, let me know. Does anyone know why the program was discontinued last year?

Erik,
Kristy and Brigitte were spearheading this project but after both left the country the Muni quit picking up the recycling. Brigitte is back and is aware of the situation. I believe she is contacting the person in charge at the Muni to get this pickup back on track. I have a huge bag of recycling. I understand we can take it ourselves to Parrita to the building that is across from where the Municipality used to be (across the bridge). I am willing to volunteer a Thursday morning to help out.
